EXPLANATORY MEMO: MODEL DISCIPLINARY / INCAPACITY PROCEDURES

 
The model Procedure provides comprehensive guidelines on how misconduct AND incapacity may be dealt with within an organization. It contains detailed advice on how hearings should be conducted, and recommends an internal appeal mechanism prior to resorting to the disputes procedures in the Labour Relations Act.

A model Disciplinary Code is also attached recommending the types of offences that may justify warnings or dismissal.
